Meet the Owner
Steve Logan
Steve was born and raised in Cleveland, OH and graduated from Saint Edwards High School in Lakewood, Ohio in 1998. During his senior year he led the Saint Edwards team to the Ohio High School Athletic Association state basketball championship, and was awarded the Gatorade Player or the year.
Steve attended the University of Cincinnati where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies. During his Junior and Senior years, he became one of the country’s best players. Averaging 22 points per game, winning back-to-back player of the year awards, Steve was named the 12th best player in the country. He became the third leading scorer behind Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson, ranked 5th with 456 assists, and named the First Team All American by Associated Press and First Team All-Conference USA.
He remains the player with more wins than any other basketball player in the University of Cincinnati history.
Logan was drafted into the NBA with the first pick of the second round by the Golden State Warriors in 2002. Despite his injuries and a short stent in the NBA, he continued to play overseas until 2010. Following his career in the NBA he was then awarded the key to the City of Cincinnati and inducted into UC’s Hall of Fame in 2010.
Steve was also a silver medalist in the FIBA U19 World Championship as well as the winner of the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award.
Steve’s goal is to be an advocate for young children by helping them to achieve what he knows is possible. Based on his knowledge and experience of growing up in the inner city of Cleveland, his biggest passion has become coaching and promoting development in the athletic ability of children that will truly make an impact.
In 2014, Steve launched his Logans Elites nonprofit AAU program that uses basketball as a vehicle to teach life skills and future opportunities. In 2021, Steve created NGAME training LLC specifically to teach fundamentals of basketball to kids from 2nd grade on up. Steve is currently officiating games and facilitating basketball training for the youth across Ohio.
